What’s most noticeable about these pants are how incredibly light they are. At just 8.1 ounces they’re a full pound lighter than the work pants I normally wear in the shop. I’d classify them as ‘relaxed-fit’ pants, which means you get more wiggle room in the seat and thigh areas than with regular or slim fit pants. They provide a large range of motion and are not constrictive in the crotch or knee area. This makes it so much easier when crouching, bending over and climbing up and down. The length goes down below my ankle, covering the tops of my low-cut work boots well but without getting under my heel.

Coupled with the light weight is the flexibility they provide, thanks to the 4-way polyester stretch fabric they’re made from. The polyester makes these pants long wearing, resistant to mildew and abrasion, quick drying and less prone to wrinkling and shrinking.

Most of the seams are double stitched, which is what you want for maximum strength. There is a drawstring so you can wear the pants without a belt. However I find they have a tendency to slip down a bit without a belt. The seven wide loops will easily accommodate up to a 1-3/4″ wide belt. I find that having more loops seems to give a better fit around the waist.

The pants have two back pockets and two side pockets all of a generous size. On the right thigh are a pen slot and a narrow pocket that will hold a phone (up to 3-1/4″ wide) or wallet.

I find that these pants look more like a uniform pant – the kind that seems to be more common in the service sector. They’re nice enough to wear when meeting prospective clients for the first time or even out for the evening with friends.

While I wouldn’t wear these pants on a job site they are highly suitable for wear in the workshop. Just about anyone outside the construction and carpentry sectors – service technicians, cabinet installers, delivery workers, estimators, security guards and the like, should really enjoy these pants.
