Strongsville, OH – Northeast Ohio tool manufacturer, Woodpeckers, recently announced its new Add-an-Inch Block. Clamping a block to your rip fence to create a safe butt stop isn’t a new trick, but Woodpeckers Add-an-Inch Block does it quickly and with a precise dimension. The back of the block is machined to accept a standard track-saw track clamp and the block is exactly 1″ thick. Using a track clamp means there’s nothing on the face of your stop to cause interference and you can attach it to almost any table saw rip fence ever made. Being exactly 1″ means you can use the scale on your rip fence…just add an inch. If you have Woodpeckers Auxiliary Rip Fence, there are counter-bored holes in the block that line up with the slots in the Auxiliary Rip Fence…no track clamp needed.
Woodpeckers made sure the Add-an-Inch wasn’t a “one trick pony”. It’s machined to 1″ x 2″ x 3″ in dimension and held to strict tolerance for square on all corners. Use it anywhere you need an accurate reference for any of those dimensions or use it as a square when checking assemblies or setting up machinery.
