Strongsville, OH – Northeast Ohio tool manufacturer, Woodpeckers, recently announced its new Stainless Steel Bench Rules in three sizes. The 1-3/4″ wide blade handles easily and stays where you put it when working on sheet goods. The sliding stop makes repetitive marking a breeze and then doubles as a stand to keep the rule upright when using the end graduations for machinery set up. You can get the Bench Rule SS in three lengths, 12″, 18 ” and 24″. Each length is available with inch graduations on both edges or with inch on one side and metric on the other.
Woodpeckers built in an extra feature that takes it up a notch, literally. The end of the rule has a carefully machined notch sized to capture the tip of your pencil. Set the stop to your chosen dimension, place the tip of a pencil in the notch, and scribe parallel to the edge of your material at precisely the set dimension. The notch aligns the center of the pencil to the end of the rule and keeps it aligned as you slide along the edge of your stock. The sliding stop also serves as a stand to keep the rule standing on its edge, making it simple to adjust the height of a router bit or saw blade to match the end graduations.
Woodpeckers has focused on the needs of hobbyist woodworkers since 1988 and began manufacturing the majority of their offerings in 1993. The company makes precision layout tools, router tables and lifts, innovative clamping tools, carbide router bits and a wide variety of helpful shop products. Their facility houses a vast array of computer-controlled mills and lathes and employs over 100 skilled American workers.
