Open well grandfather clock

Open well grandfather clock

Maker: Dennis Toth

Location: Smithville, Ontario

This clock, made of red oak, is based on an original from 1860. The clock, which chimes on the hour, stands 7 feet 3 inches high by 26-3/4 inches wide and16-1/4 inches deep. All clock decorations are done by hand. I used a red oak stain to even out differences in the wood and finished with a polyurethane clear gloss with a topcoat of furniture wax.
