Strongsville, OH – Northeast Ohio tool manufacturer, Woodpeckers, recently announced its new Compact Auxiliary Rip Fence, a 36” version of its popular Auxiliary Rip Fence, made for smaller saws. The Compact Auxiliary Rip Fence clamps to your standard fence with two precision-machined clamping blocks and a pair of track clamps. Now you have a straighter, longer, and taller reference for your material. What’s more, the clamping blocks attach anywhere along the length of the fence, meaning you can position the extra length exactly where you need it. The material supports hold up your workpiece on the infeed and the outfeed side of the table. And by attaching directly to the bottom of the fence they’re automatically aligned with the table.
Like its bigger brother, the Compact Auxiliary Rip Fence features 7 tracks that allow it to be configured to the task at hand – whatever improves the cut quality and your safety. Use the standard, high setting for a 3-1/2” tall reference for box lids and raised panels. The low setup is ideal for narrow rips without any interference between the fence and push block. You can even raise the fence above your table for template cutting and straight line rips. The tracks also make it easy to attach featherboards or shop-made jigs. The combination of the track and clamping blocks is precisely 2”, which means your fence scale is still usable.
