Any resources for a Delta BS100 bandsaw?

You asked

I have a Delta Shop Master BS 100 9" band saw running a 59 1/2" blade. I use it for wooden ship modeling. Are there any good resources for books or videos that would help. Thanks.

Our expert answers

Parts availability for the Delta BS100 bandsaw seem to be mixed Les, with common wear items such as blades, drive belts, tires, bearings, switches and basic hardware generally easy to find through aftermarket suppliers and tool-parts retailers. Replacement urethane tires are widely available, and many bearings and electrical components can be sourced as standard, non-proprietary parts. Original Delta OEM parts are no longer manufactured which can make replacement parts difficult or impossible to find new.

You can get some parts (and a user manual if you still don’t have yours) at Sears Parts Direct. If you’re looking for a good book on how to get the most from your bandsaw I suggest “The Bandsaw Book” by Lonnie Bird. You might be able to find a used copy online.  I had a quick look on YouTube and found a number of videos on using and repairing the saw – just key in “Delta BS100”. Happy sawing!
