Casting your own blanks might sound intimidating, but it’s actually easy and fun. Here’s a quick breakdown to get you started:
- Insert your wood (if making hybrid blanks) and secure it in the mold.
- Choose your pigment and prep your creative colour mix.
- Use a digital scale to accurately measure your resin.
- Mix your resin parts carefully—read the instructions, as ratios and mixing methods vary!
- Blend in your pigment until you get a smooth, even colour.
- Pour the resin slowly and cover the wood completely.
- Cure under pressure in a pressure pot for a flawless, bubble-free finish.
- Demold once it’s fully cured—and admire your custom creation!
