A premium router accessory invaluable for anyone who wants to produce perfectly radiused corners.
Producing perfectly radiused corners with hand tools can be quite time consuming. You can speed up the process by using a jig saw to rough cut the corners and then a sander or rasps and files to bring it to shape. But when you have a lot of corners to radius, nothing beats a router and dedicated corner jig. While there are several corner jig kits on the market, the Woodpeckers Corner Jig has them beat hands down for versatility, precision and speed of use.

This jig was originally a Woodpeckers “one-time” single production run tool. Fortunately it proved to be so popular that it’s now a regularly stocked Woodpecker product.
The corner jig consists of a carrier plate and a set of attachable templates. Three versions are available (each comes with the carrier plate): the chamfer set comes with 6 chamfer templates; the radius set comes with 16 radius templates, and the master set comes with all 22 templates. You also get a “Rack-it” that enables you to mount the corner jig on your shop wall.
You can use the jig with a hand-held router and a bottom bearing router bit (best when working on large panels) or on a router table using a top bearing router bit (for smaller panels).
The jig is easy to use – it takes less than a minute to change corner templates. And, if you use a sharp router bit there should be no need of sanding the corners.
If you regularly soften the corners of your projects this might the jig for you. It’s an expensive investment, but one that saves time, reduces frustration and delivers consistently perfect corners.
In this video I trim the corner on the bandsaw before routing. When you have only a few corners to cut then you might skip this. However, where you have a lot of corners to cut you’ll save time and wear on your router bit by trimming the corners.
