A high quality set of clean-up tools to use with your Festool dust extractor.
“A clean shop is a safe shop” – at least that’s what I always say. Working in a basement shop where I share space with the furnace keeping a clean shop is paramount in my woodworking. While the shop may get messy quite fast, I try to be as diligent as possible with my dust collection and clean-up routine after each shop session.

This routine includes a thorough vacuuming of any dust, especially on work surfaces and the floor. I do this not only to control the dust, but to give myself as clean of a space as possible for the next time I enter the shop.
Something that I’ve started being more mindful of is the dust that hides in out-of-the-way places. That’s where the Festool Standard Cleaning Set RS-ST D24/36-Plus comes in handy. Being able to get to those little areas makes that inevitable puff of dust coming out of a machine when you turn it on for the first time almost nonexistent.
I clean in, around and under my tools quickly using the cleaning set accessories attached to a Festool CT 15 E dust extractor that delivers consistent and strong suction power.
The accessories in the set that I use most often are the dust extractor tube, floor nozzle and extension tubes. They save my back when cleaning the floor and under tools like the table saw and bandsaw. Plus a quick swipe over bench tops makes for speedy clean-up on large spaces.
The crevice nozzle comes out when I need to get into hard-to-reach spaces or potentially dangerous spots, such as inside my bench top planer, where chips tend to collect along the sides. In the past I’d use compressed air to blast out chips to avoid cutting myself on the blades, which of course just creates a mess over a wider area.
Overall, the combination of ease of use, organized storage in the included Systainer and the strong, consistent suction of the Festool CT 15 E dust extractor makes this cleaning set a must have. Not only will your shop be that much cleaner and safer, but in the end your lungs will be very thankful.
