Woodpeckers new mortising jig

Strongsville, OH – If you want to get in on loose tenon joinery without spending thousands of dollars on a new power tool, Woodpeckers new Mortising Jig might be just the ticket. It uses your plunge router and a straight router bit to cut mortises from 1/8″ to 1/2″ thick and up to 3-1/2″ wide. Basically, the horizontal table of the Mortising Jig is an adjustable template, with graduated stops to set the width of the mortise and a fence that adjusts to position the mortise on your stock. The vertical table has track clamp slots milled in a grid pattern. Not only can you clamp your material easily, you have room left to clamp on stops and fences to speed up repetitive work.

Woodpeckers Ultra-Shear line of Router Bits includes spiral straight bits in all the fractional sizes you could want for mortising work, plus metric straight bits in sizes to match Festool Dominos*. Use ready-made Dominos or mill your own tenon stock…whatever works best for your project.

Woodpeckers has focused on the needs of hobbyist woodworkers since 1988 and began manufacturing the majority of their offerings in 1993. The company makes precision layout tools, router tables and lifts, innovative clamping tools, carbide-tipped woodturning tools, carbide router bits and a wide variety of helpful shop products. Their facility houses a vast array of computer-controlled mills and lathes and employs over 100 skilled American workers.
