Strongsville, OH – Northeast Ohio tool manufacturer, Woodpeckers, recently announced its new StabilMaxRT Router Table System. Woodpeckers engineers designed the router table around today’s powerful cordless and corded trim routers. The heart of the system is the StabilMaxRT Router Base. It provides an extended base to provide additional support when hand routing on the edge of material. Then when you need a router table, the base snaps into the StabilMaxRT Router Table instantly, without tools or fasteners. The bench top design has folding legs for compact storage. The table is milled from full 1″ thick 17-ply Baltic Birch plywood with black micro-dot laminate on both faces. The fence includes a clever micro-adjuster…a feature not often found on bench top router tables.

Woodpeckers president, Richard Hummel said, “Particularly when using today’s powerful cordless trim routers, this system is remarkably versatile and flexible. I keep a couple identical routers set up with different standard bits and the depth of cut dialed in. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a table top or a small piece of trim, I can work hand-held or in the table whichever works best.”

Woodpeckers has focused on the needs of hobbyist woodworkers since 1988 and began manufacturing the majority of their offerings in 1993. The company makes precision layout tools, router tables and lifts, innovative clamping tools, carbide-tipped woodturning tools, carbide router bits and a wide variety of helpful shop products. Their facility houses a vast array of computer-controlled mills and lathes and employs over 100 skilled American workers.
