Mississauga, ON [September 06, 2022] – IRWIN®, a leading manufacturer of innovative hand tools and power tool accessories for more than a century, is excited to kick-off its annual National Tradesperson Day™ contest. This #NationalTradespersonDay, we’re celebrating the dedicated Canadian men and women who help build our country and keep it running. Canada could not exist without tradespeople. Celebrated on the third Friday of September, this year’s National Tradesperson Day is September 16. For years, IRWIN has directed the spotlight on one of Canada’s greatest assets – our tradespeople. IRWIN deeply respects the role that professional tradespeople play in the world, and places great value on the contributions they make to society each day. IRWIN is serious about celebrating our country’s trades.
IRWIN is serious about its responsibility for building innovative tools to help tradespeople. We are also deeply committed to celebrating their achievements, the diversity amongst tradespeople and their dedication.
The role they play in our daily lives often goes unnoticed. National Tradesperson Day is the one day each year that we celebrate the unsung heroes who keep Canada running strong. Without tradespeople, we would be left with blueprints instead of buildings and kitchens without plumbing.
Since IRWIN first set out over ten years ago to champion the vital role tradespeople play in building and maintaining Canada’s infrastructure, IRWIN employees and retail partners have personally thanked tens of thousands of tradespeople and celebrated their unsung contributions across the country.
In September, different trades will be featured on social media and tradespeople at jobsites across the country will receive thank-you gifts from IRWIN.
IRWIN will once again be running an online contest to give entrants the chance to enter to win IRWIN tools and $5,000. To enter, visit the contest post on Instagram or Facebook, comment by telling us what your favorite IRWIN product is, and include #NATIONALTRADESPERSONDAY #TRADESTRONG. The contest runs from September 1 to September 16. No purchase necessary. Contest rules can be viewed here.
While our tradespeople should be celebrated every day of the year, don’t forget to especially give them your thanks on September 16. Take time to thank a mechanic, builder, plumber, electrician, or a teacher of a skilled trade – for all they do.
