DUAX angle drilling table

Strongsville, OH – Northeast Ohio tool manufacturer, Woodpeckers®, recently released the Duax Angle Drilling Table, an auxiliary table for drill presses.

Few of us enjoy trying to adjust the massive cast iron table on our drill press to do an angled hole. Some of us don’t even have the chance, since our table is fixed. Woodpeckers new Duax Angle Drilling Table provides unparalleled control in setting, aligning and securing your work anytime you need to drill at an angle…or two.

According to Nate Duxbury (Project Engineer) “Adding versatility and angular precision to the drill press was the focus of this project. Designing a strong low-profile extrusion brought it all together.”

The base of the Duax is optimized for attachment to Woodpeckers drill press tables, but the slot pattern in the base also adapts to most standard drill presses (12″ and larger). Keyhole slots are laser-cut into the base so it can hang on the wall when not in use.

Laser-cut teeth engage to provide accurate angle settings on the table. Stainless steel quadrants on both sides of the table secure the angle even under heavy drilling pressure. An adjustable fence provides the “dual” in “dual-axis”, adjusting for any angle between 0° and 90° in either direction and positioned anywhere along the table.

An optional Clamping Kit keeps your work locked in place while you drill. The Clamping Kit includes a wedge system to clamp your work against the fence and a pair of Pivot Clamps to hold your work down to the table. The kit also includes a pair of button stops you can secure to the table for drilling round objects.

When do you need angled drilling? Think of chairs, stools, hall trees, coat racks, tool holders, mug racks and the thousands of other projects where material comes together at an angle with a dowel or round tenon.

Woodpeckers has focused on the needs of hobbyist woodworkers since 1988 and began manufacturing the majority of their offerings in 1993. The company makes precision layout tools, router tables and lifts, innovative clamping tools, carbide-tipped woodturning tools and a wide variety of helpful shop products. Their facility houses a vast array of computer-controlled mills and lathes and employs over 170 skilled American workers.
